A relative of Harriet Oleson, Sterling ran the Pen & Plow newspaper. The paper was criticized by Charles for printing harsh gossip, and it eventually closed down.

Swaggart

Swaggart would give orders to the men setting up telephone lines, such as Charles Ingalls and Jonathan Garvey. Though they did not really like each other, Swaggart and Garvey eventually made peace with each other.

Sylvia Webb

Sylvia was a young girl who was raped by a masked man. Her father became ashamed of her, and forced her to keep it a secret. She soon fell in love with Albert Ingalls and planned to marry him. However, the rapist later knocked her off of a ladder. She died later from the wounds.
